Frozen berries and/or banana are good in smoothies for cooling the mixture. We often have bananas going a bit brown, so I peel them, cut into chunks and put into the freezer - perfect for smoothies!
1 serving
2 tbsp protein powder (or add 1c spinach and 1/2c oats, or 2 tbsp almond butter and 2 tbsp chia seeds. You will need to increase the milk by at least 1/2 cup).
2 tbsp flaxseed
1/2 a banana (or use 1 small banana)
1/2c berries (frozen strawberries or blueberries work well)
1c unsweetened almond milk
1. Place all of the ingredients in a smoothie maker/ food processor.
2. Process until smooth.
3. Serve immediately.
